A neighbor paid my friend $80 a day for house/dog sitting two large dogs. Frankly, the neighbor got a steal of a deal considering the size and rambunctiousness of the dogs. All this to say, much of it should be dog dependant.

We’ve paid $50 per night for this. HS Seniors. Two dogs but they only need to walk once a day, we have a fenced yard too. We let them have a friend over to hang out too, ( no parties) and ask what snacks/food/drinks they like.
We do ask them to get the mail too, take the recycling/trash down.

My neighbor paid my 18 yr old son around $50/day to dog sit and spend the night. He walked the dog 3 times per day.

Presumably they're picking your kid because you're a neighbor and the kid can walk over easily do the job. So rates on Google -- which probably assume that an adult needs to drive over -- will be of limited utility.

I think $50 per day is more than fair.

Depends entirely on where you live. We just paid a college student $300 a week to do this. But this is in a small town where we have a second home. In the DMV we would have paid more.

You might want to look at Rover.com to get a better idea of what local dog/house sitters are charging.

$50-$75 a night depending on what’s being asked, but I’d go with $50 since he’s an inexperienced kid.
