I think the cutoff was either 3.7 or 3.75, but there were still a lot of students being inducted. A whole lot.

We can see the effects of grade inflation!

3.5 and no proof of service hours necessary

I don’t think it’s really anything in middle school. My kid didn’t apply because he “wasn’t interested.” At least it was a learning experience for us - so I could stress that he needs to do it for college apps when he is in HS.

Franklin did theirs in person.

It’s probably preparing them for the real one in high school - NHS

They do some extra service hours and that’s about it.

It’s so much easier for working parents to just click on a zoom link. And with all the craziness surrounding the end of the year, it’ll be much less disruptive to do zoom than to have parents coming during Panther time on 3 different days. The parking would be insane!
I am happy it’s virtual. Especially as this is just middle school.

I'm fine with virtual but my kid could use a win of mom and dad being their to celebrate him. we will still celebrate him, of course. but it would have just been nice to be there at the school this time.

What do you mean by, a win?

There are so many students that they need 3 different dates and it was just too overwhelming? I’m absolutely fine with virtual.

RCMS is doing the induction ceremony virtually over 3 different days (they sent an email with what day our kid will be attending).

Are other schools doing it in-person with parents?
