Get a short term subscription to care. Then, cancel once you have hired a reliable person. I have gone off and on care for years hiring different people. You don’t keep the subscription going once you find someone.
Also, care has multiple categories — childcare, elder care and housekeeping. You can search by category.
Care does have a feature that lets you pay the people working for you, but I have never used it. You don’t have to pay them through care.
