Right, but the problem is not taking them home. Most kids in MCPS are not taking them home. The issue is that the kids are on them for a good part of the day, everyday. My DD's art teacher had them learning to draw some things from a youtube channel. And my DD was annoyed because she realized there was a drawing she did this year from the channel that a different art teacher had them do last year. My DD does math games, reading, some standardized tests, etc on Chromebooks.

Yes, students are trained on how to navigate the sites before hand to prepare for the test. Other than that, they use pencil and paper. Their chromebooks do not even go home.
