My child is a product of public schools and learned all those things. She is graduating next week and will attend Virginia Tech.
Reality is most privates lack these basics. Some even teach that humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time and the earth is only 8,000 years old. 🤷♀️

Since there is no detail whatsoever here about what was actually taught (just a list of topics that ARE taught to some degree) and what you expected to be taught, this is just an emotional outburst for others to applaud. We don't even know if you have realistic expectations for a sixth grader, nor can we assess whether privates will meet your expectations either.
That's how someone would actually evaluate this issue in depth.

The lack of in depth math is why we left our private school. We had to tutor our kids over the summer to get them up to the level of the high performing public school kids in our district.

NP. My goal in life for my kids is to help them be as happy, intelligent, and self aware as they can be. Not to get them to make millions.
I do think in most cases all that private school gives you will help in life and will be an advantage.
So I am happy to spend tens of thousands of dollars because my kids will not be the same people they would have been in public…

This. MCPS has put teachers in the position where they must teach to the (standardized) test. Private school teachers have far more latitude in their assessment techniques. My private school kid did not take a standardized test until the SSAT when applying out of a K-8 for HS.
