That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you! I think that can happen with strength training. I get focused on the number of the scale too but it really does not matter as much as inches and fitness!

It truly is! I had been so fixated on the scale. I still can’t believe the scale hasn’t budged in a month but I can fit in shorts I didn’t fit in a month ago! I’ll take it!

Can I share?!?
I gained 15lb (doesn’t sound like much but is a lot on my frame) and had been really focusing on losing the weight (lots of strength training and strict calorie counting) the past couple months after pants became uncomfortably snug in the waist and thighs. I was down 10lb, but I hadn’t noticed a change in the mirror, and my clothes all fit, albeit less snug and just comfortable.
In late April (I think—we had a really warm spell and I brought out summer clothes for DC) I tried on some of my old summer shorts from before I gained, and they didn’t fit, even though at that point I was down 10lb. I was discouraged but persisted.
I’m still down only 10lb, but today I went shopping and surprised myself by fitting in a smaller size. This prompted me to go home and pull out my old shorts again. And you know what, THEY FIT! I haven’t worn them since the summer of 2021! I’m so damn proud of myself!
