I’m a children’s/YA librarian. Here are some titles that have been popular in my library this year:
The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the Trial of the Century by Sarah Miller
Murder Among Friends: How Leopold and Loeb Tried to Commit the Perfect Murder by Candace Fleming
Blood, Bullets, and Bones: The Story of Forensic Science from Sherlock Holmes to DNA by Bridget Heos
Bonnie and Clyde: The Making of a Legend by Karen Blumenthal
Also the following podcasts: Generation Why, The Trail Went Cold, Park Predators, and Casefile.

We Keep the Dead Closer. There is inappropriate relationships with professors, but it's a true story, so much less graphic or sensational that a lot of books.

Not looking for anything gory or sexual. DS hardly reads at all but would consider this genre. The YA true crime books I see on library and other book list sites aren't appealing to him. Thanks!
