Hated the ending. It was fine before that, not great but not bad.

Interesting. I did NOT like this book. To me it felt like the author wasn't very clever and just smashed together a whole bunch of plots from real life crime stories (interesting that she's a crime podcast junkie, I don't think I knew that!). And the ending was stupid. You'd think someone who likes to solve crimes wouldn't leave a book with an open-ended question.

Just finished and really liked it, fast moving. I think the author is also on the Crime Junkie podcast. But here is my issue, the ending felt like a really unneeded loose end/cliff hanger. Why do authors do this, it is so frustrating and the book is not meant to be a series. Did anyone else read this and feel the same way?
