That is correct. I attended Eastern Middle and Greenwich High and I had never heard of it. UConn was amongst my peers a "joke college" and they were focused on Harvard, Yale, Emory etc. Sorry. That wasn't my opinion, just what I knew and was surrounded by.
Far and away the two most popular colleges for GHS graduates to attend are Norwalk Community College and UConn, but okay.

Locals always do this. I'm from there I don't know it, I'm from there no one would consider going there... I think it tends to be true, too close and it's so common place that it doesn't get mentioned and some people really never hear of it, and certainly don't consider going. My BIL lived right out side the wall, and I didn't know it was there for many years, then assumed it was a private high school or something. Regional schools don't tend to draw from the most close in area.
