Maybe a word search or crossword app? If your kid enjoys Scrabble they might enjoy playing Words With Friends with you.

Your local library website may also have links for readers.

Pre-COVID, the Folger had wonderful birthday celebrations for Shakespeare with lots of hands-on activities for kids. I encourage you to check in the spring to see if they resume.

A book? Seriously though, if it's a substitute for other apps during screentime, would the Epic app work? It's an entire library in app form.
