I own the bike and always thought it was unfair that my subscription was 4x what it was for non-bike owners, especially since half the classes I take are mat classes. It's still pretty cheap.

The gap was always completely nonsensical. Having a way for people to get the exact same experience for a fraction of the cost never made sense. It was honestly unfair for the bike owners, who invested in the equipment, to almost be at a disadvantage for having done so. I mean I think the jump is really worth it but it doesn't make intuitive sense.

I won't pay the extra. It was nice not to have to spend much time thinking about what exercise I was going to do. I will go back to designing my own workouts again

I will absolutely pay because this has been the only program I have done consistently and do not get bored. It requires near zero effort to put on exercise clothes and walk downstairs to my home gym. I have worked out almost daily for four years now. Very very happy with the results.

I also have a non-Peloton bike. I’m paying $12.99 now and I’ll pay the $24 next year. I like the content and I’ve been able to exercise consistently.

I’m also taking Mounjaro and I’ve lost almost 60 pounds. I’m enjoying exercise again and able to do more now. Plus I want to minimize loose skin issues so strength training is really key for me right now.

I have a non-branded treadmill and bike, as I had both before I started doing peloton. It's never made sense to upgrade for the only real benefit of being on the leaderboard because the monthly would have been so much more. I've never understood the non-equipment pricing model so this seems to try to bridge that gap?

I do mostly strength and just run outside, but do at least one bike/run weekly, as well as a bootcamp. This seems like sort of dramatic increase for me to do that so I'll watch my stats until the end of the year and then decide. BOOO!!!

Yes it’s $110 more a year to access more than 3 classes/mo that are associated with equipment they sell. $130/yr vs $240 (inclu $50 discount for annual sign up).
I do the tread classes but mostly outside, in addition to strength and stretching. Not sure it’s worth an extra $110 just for running classes.

That is my understanding as well. Crappy deal for people in your situation. I plan to check out EQX+ (SoulCycle) for use with my "dumb" bike, the classes are more my speed although their music is not as good as Peloton.

I have the Peloton app and a “hacked” bike. I usually do a bike class plus a strength/yoga/Pilates/barre class 5 days per week.

I just got the email about the new app pricing, and I am not sure I am reading it properly. Is my subscription doubling in price unless I want to stop using the bike classes?
