You have to buy an insole for Vans- they are flat. I wore some last year on a trip thinking they were comfortable and I killed my feet and got a bout of plantar fasciitis. They’re comfy for shorter events.

I ordered Vans because they’re supposed to be comfortable. One, they’re ugly. And two, they’re not comfortable.

Skechers ballet flats are easy to slip on and very comfortable for walking. I never get blisters, no matter how long I walk.

I wear Vans hightop white sneakers with dresses in the summer and traveled throughout Italy in them. There is quite a breaking in period though so give yourself plenty of time! I got blisters for the first time because I wore them for hours the first time I wore them.
