Her son doesn't want her to give a gift card. She can ask him about her favorite perfume and just buy that, its not as difficult as buying a purse.

I didn’t know where was an expectation to give a grad gift to girlfriend… I mean I understand it’s your choice but I think it wouldn’t occur to me… is it something many people do?

NP. Nice jbl speaker is a good idea. Or. A framed print of the campus (if she loved umd)? A nice suitcase or backpack for travel? Bose or Beats noise canceling Bluetooth headphones? A toolkit?

Something from Uncommon Goods or CB2?

Gift card to the book store. I'd get a nice necklace or earrings.

Does she have a good coffee maker? Maybe a keurig and an overpriced travel mug?

Nice diploma frame? (or gift card to framing store, so she can choose the mat and frame?)

PP ^^ here. I googled college grad gifts for women and here’s one link.

The only thing that was appealing to me was a initial necklace (didn’t seem too personal) and the computer bag.

Does she have a job lined up? What field is she in?

I hear you on jewelry but a piece of collegiate jewelry from a place like Kyle Cavan can be nice. In that price range...

Our son is a rising senior at an out of state college, dating a senior about to graduate at UMD. We'd like to get her a graduation present, $100-$150. We don't know her well enough to get her a piece of jewelery and our son doesn't want us to get her a gift card. Of course he doesn't have any other ideas. We suggested a nice throw blanket, but he vetoed that too, because she has so many. Anyone have some good ideas? She is taking a year off before going to grad school
