Supplements absolutely can help but it depends on your particular issues. My DH takes apple cider vinegar and makes kombucha and sauerkraut. He has had a lot of digestive issues in the past so these are great for him.

Nope. If supplements worked we'd all be thin and people wouldn't be paying $1000+/month for the injectable medications.

What works for me for bloating and energy is eating a well balanced diet with lots of veggies and lean protein.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss.

It's different for everyone, but not drinking at home was a game change for me. I'm a busy parent and a beer or glass of wine after the kids were in bed seemed like a great way to relax. Cutting that and my sleep improved, morning workouts became easier and it snowballed in the right direction from there with other small improvements over time.

Metformin if you have prediabetes.

A golden milk latte at night calms my nerves and is anti inflammatory—makes a stress headache vanish and curbs cravings. I make it with oat milk. It has turmeric and black pepper in it.

I’m sorry you’ve had a hard time. I am coming out of something really stressful myself and was surprised to see I gained ten pounds in a month for the first time in years. Kindess to yourself helps.

Start with resting and destressing, then nourish yourself with lots of high fiber, high protein foods—moderate added fat, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol. Eating fish usually boosts my mood too. Don’t forget water.

In my observation, people who take these things are looking for an easy button to be healthy when the real path to good health is harder. Diet, exercise, avoiding harmful things

I would focus on drinking tons of water throughout the day. Removed sugar from your diet where you can. Remove processed foods where you can. Move your body. Sweat. Be patient.

Not for diet, but apple cider and kombucha are great for my digestion. Less bloating and pain.

I’m on a weight loss journey and have found great success with ditching all ultra processed foods and eating a lot of garlic, turmeric and other Indian spices, and adding heat to my food in the form of chilis. Anti inflammatory foods and spices assist with the body’s releasing of weight, and regular consumption of alliums and chilis is good for boosting metabolism and regulating BP too.

I'd start listening to Dr. Mark Hyman's podcast "Doctor's Farmacy". He talks about all aspects of health and how each part of the mental/physical influences the other

Good luck

What is "a lot of weight"?

If you are talking 15 lbs or less I would take probiotics, vitamins and eat a healthy diet cutting alcohol and caffeine for 1 month. Walk 1 hour a day, for health both mental and physical.

I wouldn't think any of the supplements will help with weight loss. Cutting sugar/alcohol/carbs and eating healthy, say a mediterranean diet will help. Try following intermittent fasting and try eating all your meals in a 8-10 window. Exercise, even walking will help with general sense of well being. Oh, and reduce your phone screen time!

Gained a lot of weight grief eating and boozing after a traumatic loss and am now trying to get back to a healthy weight and lifestyle. Have any supplements worked for you in terms of weight loss, bloating, energy, etc.? (In addition to a healthy diet and exercise)
