At this point I book a venue 2-3 months out, get a cake the day before and that’s it.

I assume all parties are at home then. No venue parties I assume but that is still cutting it close.

We plan beginning four months ahead because you sometimes have to reserve the date three months ahead. No Pinterest board though.

Invites go out a month before - phone, paper, email. Basically, after solidifying that my core group of guests are available and have agreed to attend on that date.

I cannot imagine having 4 kids. More than kids is irresponsible, unless your second pregnancy resulted in twins.

With 4 kids, depending on their spread for birthdays (our is only 6 weeks) I could see myself planning virtually year round. Just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Listening to what they like, etc. I don't think it's a crime to want your kids to looks back on their birthdays as special (not necessarily expensive) because someone took the time to really plan for them as an individual.

I like to plan 6 months in advance meaning theme, ideas, pintersr boards, etc…Husband thinks im nuts! But i think it’s necessary with 4 kids. His head seems to always be spinning but Im the one moving the parts. Basically he thinks I’m always on birthday mode. I just need him to cut the check and shut up!
