Sigh....this in itself is not true. Yes, perimenopause is a 'real thing '. It's the result of changing hormones due to the aging process.
Op, I started in peri at 47 . Periods got irregular, and difficult with bad fatigue and pain. Not every month but sometimes. Occasionally had hot flashes. At 50... periods stopped. It's been 18 months so I think it's done and I LOVE it! Menopause is awesome!!! No more periods to deal with!!!
I don't use any hrt due to family risk factors and honestly I wouldn't want them as I feel good. Everyone has to decide that for themselves.
