No, the apps won't meal plan for you. You take the protein, carbs, fat amounts and make sure you're spreading it out throughout the day. Then plan your breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks with that in mind.

This one won’t require you to give your email, etc. to get the calculations: https://www.calculator.net/macro-calculator.html

Hi, and thank you. I'd like to improve my diet and gain muscle and lose fat. Macros seem like such a good way to go about it. But the formulas seem kind of odd. And once I have the calories for p/c/f, how do I convert all that into menus? Is that what the apps do for you?

OP, you can calculate your macros at this website: https://macrosinc.net/macro-calculator/

You'll need to have a specific goal in mind- do you want to lose fat, maintain or gain muscle. Then the calculator will tell you what your macros are based on your age, weight, height.

Is this what you are looking for?

The gym body scanners won't tell you your macros. It will measure your body composition- lean muscle mass, body fat percentage, etc. It is helpful to have it as a baseline but definitely not necessary.

OP, are you trying to determine your ideal macro intake or the macros of specific foods?

Not sure what you're referring to when you say "scans that some gyms offer". That said I use the MyPlate app.

Is there a reliable macro calculator you can recommend? Or should I get one of those scans that some gyms offer? Thank you!
