Taking a class or two at the community college shouldn't be too bad socially even if the CC had 0 social opportunities

Subject: What are pros & cons of dual enrollment?
Pros: No AP exam. If your child does not do well on AP exams, they may find DE easier to be successful.
Cons: Some schools do not accept the credit (DD will not give credit if class counted for HS)

Pros: college credit, advanced class
Cons: future college may not accept the credit, if it doesn’t go well and your kid takes future community college classes the grade is on the transcript, advanced class that some may not be prepared to take

Our public school system offers dual enrollment so high school and college credits are earned simultaneously. Has anyone participated in this? What are the pros and cons of the program?
