Anonymous wrote:Yes - my DC got in with an appeal 4 years ago. I think some of it is luck - like number of classes and number of kids accepted. We were at a center school, so if kids from the non-center schools had declined to come to the center, there may have been more space available.

I appealed for my child when he was going into grade 3 and was denied. Did Level 3 that year and applied the next year using lots of work samples from those pull outs; he was accepted starting in grade 4. It stunk at the time but worked out fine.
I remember the appeal responses from the central office coming back really quickly, like within 2 weeks. It's good that they don't drag it out.
