Earlier this year I read Sunset by Jessie Cave (she was Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies) and ugly cried through a substantial portion of it.

Between Enzo and the Universe, by Chase Connor. I wasn’t expecting this book. It sounded like a romance. It’s not a typical romance. It’s an exploration in family, tragedy, living, and hope.
Rise of Endymion, by Dan Simmons. The fourth book in the Hyperion Cantos. For a long time, the last quarter of the book of the book would make me tear up just thinking about it.

I think some of the misery lit of the early 2000s were big tearjerkers "A Child Named It" comes to mind - but there was a scandal with this book, I think in that the author presented it as a memoir when it was really fiction.
