I think it’s rude. I wouldn’t go to a drive through or stop by any restaurant with my kids and not offer to buy them something if I was getting a drink for myself. It wouldn’t be a free for all and they could get anything they wanted but I would at least offer to get them a drink too. If their friends were there, I would also offer to buy them a drink.

Why are you going to Starbucks with your kids but only buying for yourself? Skip it.

I would never go to an establishment and buy something for myself and not allow my kids to get something, too. It works for us and if your way works for you, that's cool.

Yes I do and if were out and they want to stop and buy something they ask me if I would like anything. Heck even if were st home and they run out and buy food/drink they ask if anybody needs/wants anything.

I kind of feel the same way. But my kids are old enough that they are just buying their own sometimes. And sometimes they treat me.

Not a dumb question, because it adds up. Sometimes I buy for my kids, sometimes I tell them they can pay with their own money if they want one. Sometimes I get something for myself and make them a treat at home.
