We just put an AirTag in our cars.

Anonymous wrote:If you watch the tik Tok, the car owner says they live in NYC and were down in DC for a friend's birthday. They had left their extra fob in the trunk so when the thieves broke into the car they found they were able to start the car because the fob was close. They drove away and got some gas.
The owner I think had a Subaru that has a tracking app similar to an AirTag, and he still had his main fob with him so they simply got an uber to the location, found the car, used their fob to unlock and left with it.
Owner isn't worried thieves will retaliate because he lives in NYC and thinks they won't make the special trip just to see him.

Did you not read the report?
“JUST heard back from DC police who says they were not called until AFTER the vehicle was recovered about 2 miles away in NE. Report indicates car was parked at 7:40 Weds and recovered at 11. DC police reiterate if you’re the victim of a crime to call 911.”
