Did Yale and Dartmouth take anyone off their waitlists? Or their waitlists never moved this year?

None at all taken and waitlist closed.

Which top 25 schools? Any ivies except Cornell? TIA

My son's friend got off the Wash U list a couple of days ago. Ironically, they had committed to Cornell but are now going to Wash U (no idea why.)

Ithaca isn’t for everyone.

Seems like more than previous years, not less...

There’s a lot of schools that closed their wait list without taking anyone, and schools like Vandy seem to be taking fewer. Curious which top 25 schools op is talking about.

This is probably where attending an elite private high school has the largest advantage: working a waitlist. Some of this happens at the DC schools.

I thought Yale and Dartmouth closed. Which leaves H,P,M,S, Penn. Not sure about Columbia/ Brown.

I’m also seeing a lot of waitlist movement this year, mostly from privates but also from some high-ranking public universities like UVA and UCSB. (Those aren’t need aware, are they? They admit everyone and gap you on the FA.) Maybe this year a lot of admissions offices were extra-careful about overenrollment.
