That sounds better than ES, when they are tested for 4 days of math and 4 days of ELA for MCAP (plus 2 more days for MAP and 4 days of MISA for those in 5th grade).

Yes for Westland. My middle schooler (in advanced math classes) reported that people struggled with time management for the math exam, and had ample time for the English. So their time restrictions may have to be tweaked somewhat.

At our MS, we scheduled math at 70 minutes four mornings last week, ELA at 90 minutes four mornings this week.

We also have to accommodate 1.5x extended time for a bunch of kids.

The sections are usually 70-80 minutes long however schools create a two hour block to account for technology issues, making sure everyone has their materials (enough chromebooks), is in the right testing room, etc. There are also not enough questions to justify the amount of time each section is required.

Is MCAP really 2x2hrs for math, and 4x2hrs for English?

4hrs and 8hrs (include setup/cleanup time)?

That seems extreme.
