Building Blocks runs Camp Splish Splosh which could be a good fit.

Have you tried Karasik in Silver Spring? They are run by The Arc and when my kids went there, they had non verbal kids in daycare/camp that seemed like they might have had ASD.

Every camp I call seems to require more independence than my child has at this stage (likely needs a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of kid to adult). Are there any options? I am getting desperate because we need to find some sort of childcare for several summer weeks to be able to keep working. Any leads are appreciated.

This is the Prince George's county parks and rec summer brochure. Page 7 talks about inclusion programming. They also have alternative placement programs but those are only for PG county residents - but it looks amazing if you are a resident.

Camps for kids w/ ED may have better ratios to fit your needs. Try:

Thank you. I tried the KTS camp but my child is 8 so they cannot take him. Will check out Montgomery county recreation. Happy to do Montgomery Count, DC, or PG County

I’m looking for a camp or program for my elementary school-age child with ASD over the summer. Every camp I call seems to require more independence than my child has at this stage (likely needs a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of kid to adult). Are there any options? I am getting desperate because we need to find some sort of childcare for several summer weeks to be able to keep working. Any leads are appreciated.
