I have neighbors who had twins when the wife was 50 and dad was 71. The twins are now juniors in college. Dad has to use a walker, but mentally is completely there. Mom is healthy and few people realize she's now 70.

I had my kids at 25 and 30, with very little money to start with in my 20s, and I can tell you from experience, being now much better-off, that MONEY HELPS A LOT.

I mean, it is sad for the kid, as his/her dad will likely die before kid will form any strong memories of him . . . . but, I guess that is the olds' business.
