In office 2 days a pay period. It’s frustrating because we were told that was the definitive decision (political leadership did a whole analysis etc) and then that OMB memo came out recently that surprised even the political leadership in my agency that decided on the 2 day policy.

So nothing changing for now but next year anyone’s guess.

Work we do is very, very amenable to telework. Attorneys are divided up between different physical locations and client is at a separate location so everything we do is pretty much via conference/video calls and email anyway.

Telework has probably made the office a bit less social but the work isn’t impacted and productivity is likely up
(Very busy office)

I'm in M/W/F out T/Th. The bulk of ppl in legal at my agency (~500) are in 2-3 days/week, but it varies from FTW to all 5 in.

I generally telework 3 days a week but am eligible to telework 4. My office has no remote work.

No. The message from the administration is clearly that feds need to be physically back in the office more, and a Republican administration is likely to be even less telework-friendly.

No, I expect at some point (sooner rather than later) what will be allowed agency-wide won't be this generous and attorneys will be treated the same as everyone else in the agency. I would be shocked if we're still allowed to telework 8x/pay period at the end of the year.

Yes, we have reduced office footprint already.

Yes, indefinitely. I mean there are many fed attorney positions that are fully remote now too. And ultimately, the legal profession is just conducive to remote work. Lots of work to be done behind a computer, research, writing, etc.
