The Northwood French teacher used to organise spring break trips but he moved to Wheaton a year ago. I think a different teacher now does some kind of spring break trip

Anyone has experiences with their children going to some of these trips? How many children from a given MS or HS would go?

These are often not mcps sponsored and mcps teachers doing it for express money.

Sometimes not, if you can contact the organizer to ask. Depends on the situation they are working with under the tour and travel company. You are right that now is often too late for March, but never hurts to check. +1 though that trips like this can be extremely expensive.

Yes. They are thousands of dollars to participate in, and you sign up over a year in advance.

You can also join trips at other MCPS schools. Eastern MS is going to South Africa in 24 and Japan in 25. High schoolers went on Eastern’s last two trips to Eastern Europe in 22 and Belize in 24.

World languages have done Europe trips. I don’t know about others.

It is tough for schools without a lot of community wealth to do a lot of field trips but I’ve been very impressed with offerings from the counselors and especially the fantastic media specialist.
