I have a ton of long, pretty fine hair and I actually use Ouai Medium shampoo and conditioner. I tried the Fine Hair products from Ouai, and the Medium gives me more body and volume.

B&B Sunday shampoo to get rid of buildup once a week.
R& co Atlantis shampoo on the other days ( shampoo 2x)
I usually shampoo every 2-3 days and skip conditioner since it weighs my hair down.
I will use Phillip Kingsley no color/ no scent if my head is itchy.
I have fine wavy hair on top with loose ringlets underneath - crazy hair that’s getting more uneven the older I get ( I’m 50)

I have highlighted hair that is also fine and wavy and I use the Amika purple shampoo and conditioner. I alternate it with T-Gel because I get dandruff and T-Gel works well for that. I don't particularly recommend either for curls/waves - they are more for my other hair issues (brassiness and dandruff).

For styling I use the Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie (scrunch on damp hair and then air-dry or blow dry with a diffuser). I have tried a lot of different products and combinations of products but I keep coming back to the curl smoothie, as it does the best job at giving me defined waves that aren't crunchy.

I use Olaplex No. 3 (the pre-shampoo one) when I remember (and have the extra ten minutes to let it sit) and it always seems to improve the appearance and feel of my hair.

Same hair type. I use Frederick Fekkai baby blonde most days, and Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Salt Scrub every couple weeks.

Ouai fine hair shampoo.

For a cheaper alternative I also like Giovanni 2chic.

I air dry 99% of the time. Only blow dry for special occasions and then I use a diffuser. I’ve given up on straightening. I also try to go to a stylist who understands curly hair, although it’s hard to find that for under $200 incl tip :/

I use Giovanni brand. I generally use the Tea Tree Triple Threat and focus on my scalp but sometimes use one of the other more moisturizing ones. Conditioner is leave in from the same brand of preset much any that doesn’t have sulfates (they cause my scalp to go crazy). And I use Trader Joe’s deep conditioner at least once a week. I love that stuff but it can weigh down my fine wavy hair.

I use Attitude's Oatmeal sensitive care Shampoo and the matching conditioner. For styling, I use a very small bit of Aveda's Be Curly cream + a dollop of their texturizing gel.

Right now I use the tea tree shampoo from Trader Joe's, which preserves my waves/curls but does a good enough job at cleansing that I rarely if ever have to use a clarifying shampoo (so many shampoos formulated for textured hair don't do anything for build up and on fine-hair it just doesn't work).

For conditioner I am using OGX coconut milk conditioner. I apply by squeezing it into my hair, and then comb it through, let sit a couple minutes, then rinse out.

For leave-in, I am using Olaplex No. 6. I apply to soaking wet hair by scrunching it into my hair, letting waves and coils form. Then I rinse once very quickly under the shower (super quick, just to wash out any excess) and then continue scrunching, squeezing out water as I go.

Then air dry. At present I am not using any extra curling agent, but still get soft fat waves and coils. I wash every 2-3 days, and on days I don't wash my hair, I put it up in a bun in the shower but don't worry if it gets a little wet, then just take out the bun and rescrunch afterwards.

It's very low maintenance and my hair always feels clean and not heavy and the texture is probably the best I've ever had.

My hair needs help. As I've gotten older, my hair is getting curlier, and I the products I use to use don't cut it. What keeps your hair soft and nice looking if you have fine wavy/curly-ish hair?
