He would need to enroll in a class via dual enrollment through the MCPS counseling department in order for it to also count as high school credit and appear on his HS transcript. I think there is a specific list of approved courses. There is a dual enrollment counselor at each high school to help answer these types of questions.

DS is interested in taking some programming classes at Montgomery College over the summer. If he's able to find a class that is equivalent to the high school offering, is this summer class accepted for credit by MCPS?
