The first incident was not at school, out in west end, the 2nd says right in the email happened on campus.

This happened on campus? I don’t see that mentioned and Alexandria times article mentions a medical emergency early in the morning not near school.

Dear Titan Staff/Families,

At approximately 9:45 a.m. today, administrators at the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) King Street campus called emergency medical services for a student who experienced a medical emergency at school. Emergency medical services responded quickly and transported the student to the hospital.

Several students were present during this medical emergency, in which life-saving measures had to be administered. Given that students witnessed this event, we wanted to share this information with you in case your child talks about this incident and you determine that they need support.

The interim did not get job, it is a woman though don’t know name.

Same is true for anyone crazy enough to run for school board. Why would anyone want that target on their back?

The biggest issue with the schools and the school board representatives is that most people who live in Alexandria and actually vote do not give a $ about the schools because they either send their kids to private or do not have children. So they vote to align with their own interests, which are colorful progressive signs in front yards.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a progressive. But the people currently on the school board and the city council DO NOT CARE that ACPS is failing children and families. They are afraid to do anything that looks like “tough on crime” because it doesn’t jive with their progressive base.

We are moving at the end of the school year. I’m sick of the crime our neighborhoods and fear for my children’s safety in school.

Whatever superintendent is chosen, they will be an extension of these policies of the school board. Don’t expect anything to change.

And he is actively inflicting that on other school districts. They are hiring him. American U. hired him to teach.

And you are right, voting habits aren't going to change. And the people who supported the council but aren't happy with them are too cowardly to speak out, Bagley's core supporters are perfect examples of this.

Regardless of it is the interim or a new person, it will be more of the same. There is no reason to think otherwise.

This School Board LOVED Hutchings and his policies. There is zero reason to think they would suddenly abandon their policy positions and hire what the district actually needs. Also, the voters would not support a superintendent that would actually change the path ACPS is on. Equity all the way!
