Maybe a photo album or slide show of your mom with her mom at various stages of their life together and also of the three generations showing the mother-daughter relationships?

Is grandma buried locally? Maybe a brief visit to the cemetary and brunch afterwards - as a celebration of life and a re-focus on a celebration to your mom and how much she's done for you. A lovely journal and fancy pen for a gift or one of those daily meditations for moms books
The "firsts" of everything is really hard and awkward after a death. The 1st Thsnksgiving w/o her, your 1st Christmas since her death, etc...Hang in there.

Buy her a bottle of perfume that your grandmother wore. I did this for a family member and they were so grateful.

My mom lost her mom (my grandmother) last fall. She was a wonderful woman and we all miss her so much. My mom is semi-local and we will be getting together on mother's day. I know it will be a difficult holiday for her. This may be a shot in the dark, but can anyone think of a meaningful gift I could get her in light of this situation?
