Got married at 23. Waited 9 years to try. First took 2 years with one miscarriage and gave birth at 34 and second got pregnant in one month at 37. Should have had kids sooner but we were not sure. More financially stable in our 30s anyway.

When you marry later you are waiting. A lot of my friends waited until 30 to marry and they married only to have kids (they would have just lived together if they didn’t want kids).

We met at 20, married at 25 and waited until 30 for kids.

We were married for 7 years before we had our first child. We weren’t sure we wanted children and we were focused on our careers. Now we have 2 kids and while I can’t imagine life without them, I’m very glad we waited.

Married at 24 and dropped the bc at 28. First kid at 29. Second at 32, 3rd at 36. We take things slowly

Married at 30, didn’t try to get pregnant (and got pregnant first try) at 33 & 35.

Married at 30 with no plans for kids. Changed mind at 33 and had one at 34.

Married at 28, had our only child at 42. Didn’t intend to wait that long. I had no problems conceiving naturally so that wasn’t the issue. We just kept putting it off. The early years were great but the early teens are a challenge. If I had it to all over again I would not have waited that long and would have had two children. Don’t wait.

Ditto except 31 instead of 30. I felt it was too long, wish I had gone for it a couple of years earlier, career be damned. The people whoTTC right after marriage are smart. If they are like most couples who already live and travel together before marriage, there are no remaining boxes to check after marriage.

Waiting until 30 is “waiting.”

We waited 4 years, but I was 22 when we got married. Honestly, we should have waited a couple more yrs to have kids

We got married at 27/28 and had our first kid at 31. Second kid at 33 and third kid at 36. So glad we waited a bit to have kids. Took some awesome trips internationally, got a dog, got a house.

My husband was immediately deployed with the military and gone 50% of the time for 2 years of our marriage. So we waiting 1.5 years at 32 years old. I regret it. Now at 38 it's been 2 years of losses and unexplained infertility for #2

Married at 27, had our baby at 40. We didn't intend to wait that long to try but life got in the way. Kid is great, marriage is great. I'm very grateful.
