When I started losing weight, I was a 40G. I just bought a couple cheap bras from Target as needed. I didnt lose a ton of breast tissue (I'm a 34DD after finishing and maintaining weight loss) so would buy a tighter band and it would last me for a bit.

Maybe just buy one "good" one and wear it every day?

I gain weight in my breasts and butt. And I have heavy, dangly breasts at my current weight and can only buy from a very few brands that carry my band size + shallow cup shape. I’ve gained/lost weight once before and the process of slimming down and using smaller bras as “reward” was very motivating! Currently doing that and looking forward to lightening my front load by another few cups and getting new bra/panties to celebrate each step as I go

Buy as needed, but just the minimum. For me part of the fun of losing weight is buying smaller sizes of clothes. It's a motivator. Plus you will look better if you have proper support. I just had to buy some new work clothes even though I expect to drop another size in the next few months. But I can't go to client meetings with my pants falling down or looking like balloons.

I just get them as needed. I have an odd size, so it is expensive but better than looking/feeling unattractive in a saggy, baggy bra when working so hard to change my body & health. I agree w/the advice of one black, one "nude". And make sure at least one sports bra is good for whatever workouts you do; I sink-wash mine after each workout so it is good to go the next day.

Wear stretchy sports bra type bras.

No one else can tell you how much more your cup and band size will change. I’ve lost 70 pounds and my breast volume hasn’t changed at all. My old bras still fit fine, not great, but passable. Some people lose a lot of breast tissue/volume. Everyone is different.

NP. The last row I bought was $88. I am 34G. Good luck finding a good quality bra for under $60 in bra sizes like this.

OP, Buy one black and one nude bra every time your bra changes sizes if it doesn’t fit properly. Rotate each day and wash by hand… they last much longer that way. If you are working out a lot I would also buy two sports bras that fit well because you don’t wanna be bouncing around in the wrong bra size. I’ve lost a lot of weight over the years and I have had brought in several different sizes up and down and then when I stabilized, I got rid of all but one of all of my bras except the correct current size and the next size down that is in the closest size down which I kept in case I lose more weight I have lost weight before and gotten down to an F and thankfully I kept all my G bras because here I am again. All the other bras I donated.

OP, you are right to worry about wasting money on bras when you are losing. I lost 60 pounds and my bra size changed so much. I bought a few new bras in September 22 that are now worthless because my breasts shrank again. If you have already lost a lot of breast volume and have a long way to go towards your goal, try to get by with some cheaper bras in the interim.

I have a lot of weight to lose, and am doing it, albeit slowly. However, my current bras are now too big. And, I have a long way to go and don't want to buy new bras every 6 weeks or so.

I'm in a large size, so bras are close to and frequently over $100 each.

What do others do in this situation? And yes, I realize it's a good problem to have now that I am finally losing the weight
