“People are pickier” may have benefits. There is a thread about terrible parents who put their kids last after a divorce. Hopefully, such people today won’t be settling for each other and having unwanted kids due to social pressure.

Is it harder than before?

Or are people just pickier? Or busier? Or constantly on screen so they're not socializing as much?

I met my husband at 19. There are drawbacks to that too.
