Yes, but Stanford isn't ivy league.


Got into the HYP applied to as well…Vanderbilt, UVA too. Didn’t apply to others after found out got into Stanford REA.

Is it a language he learned outside of a school context?

I have heard that colleges are interested in challenge, not skill, so they will want to see that he studied a language from the beginning. We are in a similar situation.

this is what it says on the website. " Students who take the exam may earn up to three World Languages credits for levels one, two, and three for the language of the exam."
so 3 credits is maximum

Hello all

My son received a 3 credits of world language exam in middle school and now he is admitted to TJ. The language that he received 3 credits is not offered at TJ so he cannot receive a total of 4 credits. In this case, would you let it be or would you pick another language and start over for 4 credits total at TJ? I heard a total of 4 credits are needed for ivy league colleges. any suggestions are welcome
