Somewhat. Very unlikely a student would live with a teacher for more than one night.

I led a 'book club' of season 4 of The Wire for my teacher colleagues. They were floored at how accurate it was. I was pretty new to the profession at the time. A number of people in the group had been teaching for over a decade.

I was reading on the Ambassador thread that the foreign service groups are abuzz with how unrealistic it is.

Why? I have never seen a show that showed my career or my friends' careers as they really are, and why would they? Who wants to see that?

Luckily I don't think we'll ever have to.
