I used to worry about this because my child was hard to potty train, but it's actually been really easy. We go once before putting on suits (much easier to pee then) and then I'll suggest it once while we're there. Average pool visit is about 2-3 hours, so it's fine.

Those of you who just let your kids pee in the pool are gross. What is wrong with you? I go in the pool too, so I sure as heck don't want anyone peeing in it.

But they don't at private pools?

I’m pretty sure my 10yo pees in the pool. Not a battle I’m willing to have.

I’m certain there are children fully toilet trained who decide to relieve themselves in the water instead of having to get out and walk to a restroom. Anyone who doesn’t think so is naive.

Watch and see how many adults leave the pool to go pee. Few will. I'm just being honest.

You nasty

Not sure how I'm the nasty one. Seriously, watch adults at the pool. We all know being around water makes you want to pee. But they won't get out of the pool for over an hour. They are peeing in the pool.

Basically when they're potty trained.

I recently heard that part of the reason public pools have adult swim is to have a built in time for kids to get out of the pool and go to the bathroom. Evidently it makes an actual different in the number of... incidents... they have to deal with

Wait, what? My kids get out of the pool to go pee. If your ES aged child is peeing in the pool, they should only be in the baby pool.

Um, as soon as they're out of diapers!

At what age should kids be reliable about not urinating in the pool? Would you be upset if you found out they did?
