Everything everyone said above. Also, for the peeling, I have a jar of coconut oil in my shower and I use a washcloth with a blob of coconut oil to gently scrub my entire face and chest every day.

Wash your face, put on moisturizer, wait 20 minutes (I never waited for my face to dry and realize now that was a huge mistake), then use Tret, then again with the moisturizer. Also get a really good moisturizer. I just hydroboost. I'll also take a washcloth and scrub away the peeling. This lasts another month or two. I'm on 1% now and I love my skin, finally.

Follow this advice, and stick with it. I started back in September and nearly gave up by Halloween. Now, though, my skin is just amazing. And I'm down to three very affordable products.

Cut back to every other day. Make sure your face is 100 percent totally dry before you apply. 90 minutes later, really slather on a moisturizer. Wear sunscreen religiously. Always apply retinol products at night.

Also, you cannot apply tret or any retinol in the AM. The sun makes it not work. Needs to be at night.

This Cerave lotion with hyaluronic acid has been really great for me.

Use tret every other day or every 2nd day until your skin can tolerate it.

Summer is a tough time for this. Your face is especially sensitive and exposed. Slather sunscreen on all day religiously. It is a commitment.

Thanks. How long before you loved your skin?

A while honestly and I had to increase from .05%. I started .05 in October and increased to 1 in February. I started loving it in March.

Yes to the above and for the top layer of moisturizer really slather it on there, almost like a mask. I like the heavy duty Vanicream cream (rec'd by my derm).

This, exactly! And repeat each time you go up a %.

I'm trying tretinoin for the first time. I love the before and afters I see online. I've been using it for 2 weeks and have a lot of peeling skin. What can I do to make the peeling better? it looks unsightly.
