This toxicity comes from the parents and their biases.

Has this happened at your school? My kid came home very upset. When will the insanity end? Would you report this?
You are not your child. You seriously want to report someone calling your kid a name? Your time will be better spent shoring your kid up and teaching them to let things roll off their back.
OP here. I'm not trying to argue here. This was not a one time incident. Kid told me it has happened on multiple occasions since coming back from spring break.

DS was at the receiving end. We reported it to the school counselor. Best decision.
OP here. Thank you, what did the counselor do to remedy the situation?

Anonymous wrote:OP as an ex-teacher, I don't know why you wouldn't report it to the teacher or counselor or both. Just tell them what your child told you. All it takes is a brief email. Schools cannot create a positive climate if they lack information about what students are saying/doing.

Of course you didn't apply. AAP is for your kid, not you.
