I don't know, OP, but when we moved, I asked my as yet unknown neighbor to help me move a piece of furniture, because I could not do it myself. He helped, and I thanked him profusely. My husband was at work, the furniture was blocking the front porch, and I thought the worse he could say was no... a decade later, we aren't friends, but we're good neighbors, and we help each other out regularly.

And I love that for you. Two months ago when I had an awful upper respiratory infection and was up all night for a week coughing, my next door neighbor banged on our shared wall and fake-coughed before screaming at me to shut up three nights in a row. So I don't really feel comfortable knocking on his door and asking for a favor. "Friendly neighbor" is not the vibe he's put out there.

Nah, if i didn't have a shoulder injury I could do the tv myself. Someone strong in good shape will be able to do it alone.

The TV will probably take 2 people. So that’s $50 each snd had to include their travel time and transportation to get to you. They’re not robbing you blind.

The first one is junk hauling and the second one is appliance installation with haul away.

you could also try the Bungi app

don't underestimate the weight and ability of person to move it. If they are not actually movers, get two people to do it. They can easily break, scrape, or dent things without meaning too.

I need to hire someone to move an old fashioned tv from my 2nd floor apartment to downstairs/outside trash, and to move my current microwave oven to the hallway, and my new one from the floor in my living room onto the shelf in the kitchen.

I looked at "moving" but Task Rabbit insists on being given the address where you're moving from and to, and that doesn't quite fit my situation, though I do need a strong person to lift these things. And then I looked at furniture assembly, but that's not right either. What is the phrase I'm looking for here? Please help me to get help!
