just becareful there is usually a spring under tension in the door when taking the door apart to get to the windows. if there are stain on the inside of the window(hot side) then ive had real good luck with the single edge razor as well...

Try small amounts of nail polish remover. The reason it is impossible to clean is because oils they have splashed onto the glass have been baked on and polymerized onto the surface. Ain't no amount of soap and water or Windex going to get it off. You need a better organic solvent. A small amount of paint thinner/mineral spirits might work too.

I’ve seen this work on a video as well, planning on trying it out. But I’ve also used baking soda + hydrogen peroxide. I tried mixing baking soda with wsrm water ir vinegar, it doesn’t work. Peroxide paste softens the baked on grease, and then I use metal scrubbing pad, the glass lioks like new after I’m fonecand it only takes me about 5-10 mins to finish the job.

Yup. Their best tip is that you need to do several applications of Easy Off. it’s not fun, but really works.

Read the manual.

Easy Off oven cleaner. I tried all the baking soda, vinegar, dawn type things but eventually caved to Easy Off and it worked. I don't use it often but when I really need to deep clean it's the way to go.

Pumice scouring sticks. Just make sure the glass remains wet and you won’t scratch it.

No idea. I've tried like you (literally scrubbed with steel wool) and the stain is permanent. It's annoying because I'd like to see through it instead of opening the door!

Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Damp paper towel
2. A paste of baking soda and water and soaking it for 25 minutes before wiping off with damp cloth
3. In desperation, Windex

It's still filthy. This is probably, as my mother used to say, "clean dirt" at this point. But if I could get it clean that would be nice. It's years of filth baked in. (I rent, and they just changed out my dim kitchen light to a bright one yesterday so I could see how filthy everything is and I've been scrubbing all day.) Any other ideas?
