The law school is terrible. Our paralegals with certificates and AS degrees came to us better prepared than the JDs from UDC.

It’s more of a community college.

I got my finance degree there. Seven years later went back for MA in Elementary education.
The school is fine. Lots of my U.S. classmates got jobs and are doing well. I'm sure the 10% graduation rate is accurate, but I didn't see it in my own class. We had a lot of foreign born students who may have gone back to their countries without a degree.
Many started nursing there and then transferred out to other schools. Accounting and law were also popular.
My own kid is 16 and might go there. I wouldn't mind at all.
I went to three different colleges in US and one in Europe due to moving so much. UDC is fine. I was one of the last ones to get the finance degree and then they dropped it.

You’re joking, right?

It would be delightful if this were true. But if what you are proposing would create an actual somewhat selective dc state college that does not specialize in remediation, that would, first of all, never be approved and would instead be condemned as gentrification. Second, it would spell the end of the TAG program if there were actually a viable DC option for serious students with in-state tuition.

It has loads of potential, but right now, no, not a gem.

I agree OP. I took multiple classes there; some were outstanding. Most were fine; comparable to what you'd get at any state school.
