DD applied last year but was not sure she would go until she went to the open house. Even then it was more of a decision to give it a shot to see if it worked. She’s thriving there now and it’s been the right call for her.
A big part of the hesitation on her - and my - part though was that we did not actually know much about the school because our area sends very few kids historically. So we just had no one to talk to about it first hand. That dynamic will improve in the years to come now that it’s a bit more spread out regionally than before.
+1 ... DS was unsure too until he attended the initial sessions and also spoke with a few current and past students. I think each kid takes his/her own time to decide. That is fine as long as it is before the due date.
