NP. Honestly, the only way I know to have my license and registration is from having watched so many tv shows and movies where someone gets pulled over and the cop says, "License and registration". I got my license at 16 like most Americans, but I have had to take the written test twice in the past 10 years because I moved to different states from living abroad, and I don't remember that being a question. So perhaps it is not well known? License, registration, and insurance - all have to be physical cards/papers. It seems ridiculous that it has to be physical these days. I have a digital driver's license that I can use at the liquor store, but not really anywhere else.

Insurance doesn’t have to be paper. They are fine with you showing it to them on your phone

Maybe it's different by state. In my state, a cop told us as an fyi that we need a paper copy.

Thank you! Our posts crossed. If the paper said “keep this in the card” then it’s hidden in my glovebox. I will recheck there. My memory is crap but I follow written instructions.

Thank you for your help!

The piece of paper that came with the stickers that says to keep it in the car. It looks like this: https://formspal.com/pdf-forms/other/virginia-dmv-registration/

Yes, your registration card. They ask for it if you get pulled over.

If I get pulled over, will they ask for anything? I have decals on my plates that show that the vehicle is registered. Do I need to print something and carry it with me?
