Thanks for that. I'm worried that they aren't tested, so I'm expecting this will be a chromosomal abnormality. But my PGT normals at SGF resulted in no implantation or a miscarriage with an empty sac. At least this time I got a heart beat. Dr. F believed SGF's protocol compromised my quality so even if they were normals, they were still compromised and considering the improved yields with him and the science he explained, I believe him. I calculated I needed 10 quality day 3 to get a live birth so I banked until I got there. This was my first 2 transferred. So I have 9 left. LOL GW shutting down on me in the middle of it wasn't part of the plan!


What about ST’s protocols compromised your embryos?

If it’s an option for you, I would consider Weill Cornell in NYC. I transferred my eggs from GW there, and I also did full retrievals with a 3-day transfer there (one of which resulted in my son). I was a poor responder, so I did a low-stim protocol there with Dr Owen Davis. The logistics are tougher, but if you are a harder case (as I was), the doctors, nurses, and lab are top-notch.

I was told it was the university making them do it partially by not letting them hire more staff. Also they said they are going to finish things with current patients (so no new cycles) and the last nurse is leaving 28 April.

GIVF takes D3 embryo's. CFA doesn't take cryotips. It was a shock to everyone at the clinic. They just found out last Friday. The lab is still there.

yeah, I banked a bunch of day 3 embryos. First Dr. F announces he's leaving right after I do my last retrieval. And then I just found out my first transfer is going to end in a miscarriage and then they're like at the appointment, hey we are closing.... So I'm like, now what?!? Looking for somewhere that will accept my embryos (day 3 frozen) and trying to figure out how to transfer them to a new clinic.

GW legally has to keep an embryologist on staff to keep and store the embryos. So they will be safe, but you'll need to find somewhere else to transfer them. I'm currently looking to find clinics that take day 3 frozen embryos. I think Columbia does.

I just saw the thread below asking about GW IVF that it is closing. Does anyone have any more info? Any idea what current patients are doing? I have some frozen embryos with them, although not currently a patient, and am shocked (although not totally surprised after Dr. F left).
