Huh interesting. I didn't think about this but yeah, I could see how it could hinder some individuals since it's good for 10 years. In your case I'd go with blonde as it says "what mother nature gave you".

So my hair color changes every few months. It was orange and pink when I applied for my passport. This was not an option (although interestingly it was on my gov background check!). I just put blonde, which is my nature color.

I know this is dumb, but it's a government document and I don't want to have any issues.
My hair is naturally reddish blonde. When I was younger, I pretty much always died it more red. So my last passport says my hair is "red".
Since then, my natural hair color has gotten darker and started to gray, and I no longer dye it red at all. Most recently, I dyed it a kind of dark golden blonde (could also read as kind of a golden brown, or highlighted brown). But that was over a year ago, and since then I've been trying to decide if I just want to let it go gray. So I now have about 6 inches of roots, which are either a very dark blonde or brown (depending on how you define those) streaked with about 20% gray.
So, uh, what color do I put on my new passport? Do I just say red because that's what was on it before, even though it's not at all red anymore? Blonde since the majority of it is a dark blonde? Brown even though I've never in my life been described by anyone as a brunette? Gray even though it's only about 20% gray and that's only the undyed portion?
Does this matter at all? Help!
