OP here, we are actually zoned for Hayfield.. so the AAP program would be Twain/Edison.

7th is a mix up year socially anyway, so I would send them out to get the best education possible at a center, then when they return, they will also be returning with new friends that also have to come back for 9th.

Agreed. High school is a great reset point, socially.

Disagree. It depends on the pyramid but at many schools, the same middle school kids are the same kids in high school. No reset.

OP, it depends on the school but I stick with the base middle school. Most of them have Level IV now too.

OP here, the base school is a secondary, and there is no Level IV there. My concern is that we would return to the secondary for 9-12 and then peer groups would be already made.

You will be able to pupil place to the AAP center for 9-12 if desired. You'd just have to do transportation. I teach at Robinson and a lot of the lake braddock AAP kids just stay there for high school, saying they want AP vs. IB or a language that isn't offered at one or something.

My assumption is this is Robinson / LB too. Our neighbor did what PP is mentioning. DD came back to go to Robinson though - as did most of the kids in her AAP class that were Robinson zoned. The uncertainty of being able to place for 9-12 and knowing we would have to drive her there made us leery of the AAP LB route.

Yes. Most of the LB AAP kids zoned for Robinson go to Robinson. Even more zoned for West Springfield go to West Springfield since that is also an AP school.

Not to mention honors is self selected. Depending on the school, it isnt honors no matter what the report card says.

This is most likely what I would do too.
