Why don't people answer their door when the doorbell rings? What are they so afraid of? Many people here admit they won't answer unless they are expecting someone. This man's overreaction to the stranger in his driveway is the same fear. Everyone is afraid it seems like.

Twice I've been lost and had to turn into a driveway to turn around on a small road in broad daylight Both times, IMMEDIATELY, someone came out of the house to confront me. It was like they were sitting by the front window.
In the first instance, I explained I was lost and was turning the car around. The response was - Well, turn your car around somewhere else. This was before GPS.
Second instance, the homeowner was helpful to the extreme in giving me directions. This was in a non-GPS available area.

If it was my driveway and someone I didn't know pulled up, I'd assume they might have gotten the wrong address and give them a little time to see if the car turns around. If not, I'd then go out and ask what I can do for them if it was broad daylight. I don't understand what someone would want to steal from my home, my 10 year old laptop?

That guy's actions were so depressing.

I blame Fox News and various online media for race baiting and fear mongering as a way to get clicks. I hope fox gets dismantled as a result of the lawsuit. I also think this, along with teachers leaving guns in bathrooms and kindergarteners bringing guns to school, is a result of our failure to enact reasonable gun laws.
