IF will not speed up weight loss in any way. It is all in the calories. If you insist, work out fasted, but try to eat something by 11am. And then stop eating after dinner.

Why even both with IF if you are counting calories?

I'd recommend reading the books of Dr Stacy Simms - especially if you are a female over 40

She's not a fan of fasted workouts due to am cortisol levels. My IF schedule is roughly 7pm - 7 am. I'm focused on pre and post workout fueling. I'm lifting weights and most advice out there says that after lifting you need to recover with protein and carbs to build muscle.

How close are you to your goal weight? The less you have to lose, the harder this will be. I started at a normal BMI and the weight loss has been agonizingly slow and difficult.
Definitely do the workout fasted. This will get easier with time.
Ideally fit all your eating into a 6 hour window.

Eat lunch between 11-1 pm, dinner at 7. If hungry between a small snack.

Are you ok to work out without eating first?

I think it's pretty simple for you if so. Eat dinner by 7 and don't eat anything after 7:30 pm. Eat your first meal of the day around noon.

40f, workout 5 days a week.

Wake 7am, workout around 9am. Ideally I’d like to skip breakfast. I do not eat dinner until 7pm. Goal is weight loss. I stay around 1800 calories to achieve this.
